100 Push Up Challenge
The 100 Push Up challenge is a challenge I’ve seen various other fitblrs on here participate in, so I decided to partake. Especially since one of my goals is to be able to do an insane amount of push ups in one go.
This page I will update my progress week by week. Today (12/13/11) I took the initial test: 34 Push Ups until failure (rank 4). Thats pretty decent I guess, just over a quarter of the actual point of this challenge.
I’ll official start this next week, on Monday. The challenge calls for 3 days out of the week to do this so I shall do this every Monday Wednesday and Friday.
19-DEC | WK3D1 14-18-14-14-20; 80 reps
**I really struggled on that last 5, but I pushed myself through it. I wanted to do more than 20 for the last rep (the least amount you could do is 20, so no less than 20) but I just couldn’t. I’m happy with it though. 80 reps? Shit yea.
21-DEC|WK3D2 20-25-15-15-28; 103 reps
**I almost gave up after the last 25, but I was able to push myself to do too more. 103 push ups. I think I’m ready for the 120 on Friday

**Tried my hardest to do at least 30 on that last set, couldn’t do it though. But at least I was able to do that 120.

**So, funny story. I lost count of what and how many sets I did haha. So I ended up doing the 2nd set twice. Also, the last set called for 32 but I managed to push out 4 more. So, instead of doing the 120 like I was suppose to do, I did 149.
Not a bad way to get the blood pumping for the day.

**Kind of struggled through these, my body been feeling a little funny lately, hope I’m not getting sick. I pushed myself to do 10 extra on the last set because otherwise I would have ended with a total of 140, and I did 149 the previous day. I wanted to do more to keep the progress up. So, 150 for the day.

**The last time I did the test I was only able to do 34 before I couldn’t lift myself up anymore. Pretty proud, I hope can increase it enough to do 100 consecutively in the next 2 weeks.

**Being out of it for almost a week really shows up on you. I really struggled. I’m sitting here a sweaty mess from the 175 I just did, jeez haha. I may do day 2 later on tonight before I go to bed, or I may do it in the morning tomorrow with day 3 on Saturday, we’ll see. I’m really feeling it though, the burn feels awesome.

**I tried, I really did, couldn’t get more than 50 out though. I’m happy with it though.

**Beasted it. Although, my right hand was feeling funny. Felt more pressure on in my palm like something was gonna pop but I tried to push through it regardless, but it still hurt. I pushed out 20 on my knuckles (beastly right?) but after 74 I passed out on my floor for 15minutes and now I’m here. Ready for the final week. Almost at 100!

**Last set called for 55 but I pushed out a few more. I couldn’t get up for a while.

**Last set called for 58 but cranked out a few more. My chest, my chest, my chest is on fire, but I don’t need no water let that mutha burn, burn, burn baby buuuuuuuuuuuuuurn.

**Yeah SUPER late but I’m back at it. Chest feeling super tight right now, later on in the week after I “heal” a bit I’m going to do the exhaustion test, last time I hit 74, lets see if I can push out that last 26!
